Kelly

Caught up with Kelly, a mate of ours from back home. She's been living in Canada and is in Ireland for a few days, and was nice enough to come over to galway to see us. Had dinner and quite a few brews with her and a couple of her mates last night. Didn't get many photos, just this one of her with Ally.

Hi to Jimbo and Leslie!

Catching up with my cousie Kim and her man tonight which'll be great. Haven't seen her for a few years...

Merry Xmas!

Hey all.

Merry Xmas (and happy new year if i don't get around to saying it later)

Ally and I spent Xmas day and Boxing Day (St Stephens Day over here...) with one of our housemates and his family, in a small town just outside of Galway (Cregmore). A nice relaxing time, eating too much, drinking quite a bit and playing some cards.

Ally got me a hurley (the bat used in Hurling) and a Galway hurling jersey - nice! One of our housemates got us a dinner voucher at a great mexican restaurant just up the road from us here (well, all restaurants are just up the road here...) and our other housemate got us a couple of books, so that was great.

I found a big can of Milo for Ally (she goes through it like nothing else), a photo of a 'talkative swan' (have to see it), some chocolates and some earrings.

Still not sure what we're up to for New Years, but we'll just follow the housemates, see what they're up to.

My cousin and her Galway boyfriend are coming over in a coupla days too, so that'll be great to catch up with them, and spend new years day at his house.

Anyway, merry xmas, and a happy new year!

Cheers,
Deano and Ally

Bloody banks

Well, the banks over here are as bad as at home... Just found out that we get charged when our pay goes into our bank... So, the boss gets charged for PAYING us, we get charged for GETTING paid - winners all round... buggers.

And how's this. I get paid on monday night, and the money clears by the next monday (or perhaps tuesday)... crazy times...

PS: i know, still gotta write up Northern Ireland. I'll probably forget it before i get there...
